Toowoomba Location

Toowoomba is a city in the Darling Downs region of southern Queensland, Australia.

It’s known for Cobb & Co Museum, with its horse-drawn carriages. The Royal Bull’s Head Inn is an 1800s homestead with colonial-era displays. To the northeast, Ravensbourne National Park is home to towering red cedars and rainforest. Nearby Crows Nest National Park features a eucalypt forest, granite boulders and Crows Nest Falls.

According to Queensland.com, during September for the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers  is when everything really comes alive.

Not only are there floats of florals to be inspired by, the festival doubles as a food and wine event for the duration. There’s a four-course gala dinner in Queens Park, a host of local wines including the award-winning Symphony Hill Wines and Golden Grove Estate, plus celebrity chef demonstrations.

Unsurprisingly this event attracts 140,000 visitors each year, so book your accommodation early for the carnival.
